Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced key initiatives for Malkangiri, including a ?4,000 crore cement factory that will create 2,000 local jobs. A 6-lane road will also be constructed, connecting Motu in Malkangiri to Tiringi in Mayurbhanj, boosting north-south connectivity. The CM urged faster progress on railway and national highway projects to enhance regional development.
