?828 Crore Srinagar-Leh Highway Project to Boost Connectivity

The government has approved ?827.98 crore for constructing and upgrading a 12.11 km four-lane highway from Pandach to Manigam near Wayil Bridge in Jammu & Kashmir. This strategic project, part of the Srinagar Ring Road (Phase-IIA), includes one major bridge, three minor bridges, 51 box culverts, and a 2.55 km elevated structure through Ganderbal Town. It aims to enhance connectivity for tourists and defense movement to Leh and Kargil, fostering regional security and boosting tourism.
