NHPC Limited has declared Patel Engineering Limited as the L1 bidder for a contract involving modifications of the diversion tunnel into a tunnel spillway arrangement. This includes civil and hydro-mechanical works for Package 6 of the Teesta-V Power Station in Sikkim. The project is slated for completion within 18 months.
