Hyundai Proposes Rs 1,500 Crore Facility Expansion in Tamil Nadu

Hyundai Motor India has submitted a pre-feasibility report for the revamping and modernisation of its facility in Tamil Nadu, with an investment of Rs 1,500 crore. The expansion at the Irungattukottai plant will increase its size from 5.40 lakh sq metre to 7.21 lakh sq metre, creating an additional 155 new jobs. The plan includes adding 1.81 lakh sq metre of land to the existing factory.
