SRF Limited has approved a project to establish new facilities for manufacturing fourth-generation refrigerants in Dahej, Gujarat, or another suitable location, with an estimated investment of ?1,100 crore. The project will be financed through internal accruals and borrowings, aiming to produce refrigerants with significantly lower global warming potential (GWP) to reduce carbon footprints. The plant is expected to be capitalized and commissioned within approximately 30 months.
