The Indian government has approved 29 road projects in Ladakh, totaling ?1,170.16 crore, including state highways and major district roads. Additionally, ?181.71 crore has been allocated for eight bridges in FY 2023-24 under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF). The move, aimed at enhancing connectivity to remote villages, is expected to spur economic activities, especially in agriculture and tourism, contributing to Ladakh’s overall infrastructure development. Minister Nitin Gadkari emphasized the positive impact on the region’s growth.
