Thiruvananthapurams Muttathara STP to Be Upgraded with New Tertiary Treatment Unit

The Muttathara sewage treatment plant in Thiruvananthapuram is set for an upgrade with a new tertiary treatment facility to reuse treated wastewater. The project, includes a three-layer treatment plant and an overhead tank. Post-upgrade, the plant’s capacity will increase from 60 MLD to 107 MLD. Construction is expected to start in Q1 2025 and finish by November 2025. The project also includes extending the citys pipeline network.
