EC for Steel Plant Expansion at Natwarpur

Environmental clearance is sought for the brownfield expansion of the DRI-based steel plant at Village Natwarpur, Tehsil and District Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. The expansion will increase sponge iron production from 60,000 TPA to 297,000 TPA, mild steel billets from 30,000 TPA to 220,800 TPA, and rolled steel products through hot charging to 212,000 TPA. The captive power plant will expand from 9 MW to 32.5 MW (22.5 MW through WHRB and 10 MW through AFBC), with fly ash brick production rising from 10,500 TPA to 35,000 TPA.
