Union Government sanctions three pilot projects under National Green Hydrogen Mission for steel production

The Union Government has sanctioned three pilot projects under the National Green Hydrogen Mission for steel production, aiming to utilize hydrogen in the steelmaking process. The projects include Matrix Gas and Renewables Ltd (50 TPD), Simplex Castings Ltd (40 TPD), and Steel Authority of India Ltd (3,200 TPD). With a total financial support of Rs 347 crore, these initiatives will demonstrate the feasibility and economic viability of green hydrogen technologies, expected to be commissioned within three years.
