Haldia Petrochemicals Plans ?1.2 Lakh Crore Investment for Chemical Unit in Srikakulam

Haldia Petrochemicals Limited, based in Kolkata, has proposed an investment of ?1.2 lakh crore to establish a chemical unit in Santabommali mandal, Srikakulam district, covering 3,000 acres. This project, alongside the ongoing development of a greenfield port at Mulapeta with an investment of ?4,350 crore, is expected to significantly boost industrial growth in the region. The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has already acquired 1,800 acres, with additional land parcels available to support the development of major industries in the area.
