BMC’s Bandra sewage treatment plant reaches 21% completion

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)

BMC has completed 21% of the 360 MLD sewage treatment plant near Bandra reclamation. The plant will provide secondary treatment for all sewage and tertiary treatment for 180 MLD using Membrane Bio Reactor technology. Expected to improve sea water quality, the Rs. 5,200 crore project, awarded to Larsen & Toubro in May 2022, is set for completion by July 2027.
