RSP to set up 2 MTPA pellet plant under COM model

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)

Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) of SAIL has signed a contract with a consortium of Orissa Metaliks and Rosemary Sponge & Ispat to establish a 2 MTPA pellet plant on a construct, operate, and maintain (COM) basis. The LOA was issued on January 16, and the project is expected to be completed within 24 months. The operation and maintenance contract is for 20 years, extendable by five years. CET is the overall consultant, with PwC as an associated consultant.
