North Urimari Opencast Project (OCP), located in the Urimari Block of South Karanpura Coalfields in Barka-Gaon CD Block, Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand, is an operating coal mine. The project, which has an existing Environmental Clearance (EC) for 4.2 MTPA, is now seeking approval for capacity enhancement to 4.5 MTPA within the existing project area of 523.06 hectares.
