Gondia Rail Over Rail project nearing commissioning

South East Central Railway (SECR)

South East Central Railway (SECR) is set to commission the Rs. 135.77 crore Gondia Rail Over Rail (RoR) project, part of the Rajnandgaon-Nagpur 3rd Line. Sanctioned in 2017-18, the 13.4-km RoR aims to eliminate surface crossings at the congested Gondia yard by connecting line 9 to the Ballharshah/Chanda-Fort line. This will streamline rail traffic, reducing congestion and transit times for passenger and freight trains on the Patna-Chennai and Mumbai-Howrah routes.
