Starx Tar to Expand Coal Tar Pitch Capacity in Bhilai

Starx Tar plans to expand its existing coal tar distillation and processing unit at Plot No. 147-B, Light Industrial Area, Bhilai, located in Durg district, Chhattisgarh. The proposed expansion will increase the coal tar pitch manufacturing capacity from 12,000 metric tonnes per year (MTPA) to 15,000 MTPA. Alongside, the company will also produce byproducts including 12,000 MTPA of fuel oil, 12,000 MTPA of other coal tar and pitch products, and 12,000 MTPA of processed coal tar.
