30MW Waste-to-Energy Plant Cleared in Bawana, Delhi

Jindal Urban Waste Management (Bawana) Limited

Jindal Urban Waste Management has received environmental clearance for a 30?MW waste-to-energy plant at Bawana Industrial Area in northwest Delhi. Spread over 15 acres of MCD-allotted land, the Rs. 660 crore project will process 3,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste daily. Despite facing local opposition, the plant includes a six-acre green belt and will rely solely on treated sewage water, ensuring zero groundwater extraction.
