World’s Largest Titanium Plant Inaugurated in Lucknow

India inaugurated the world’s largest aerospace-grade titanium remelting plant in Lucknow on 11 May 2025. Operated by Aerolloy Technologies under PTC Industries, the Rs. 6,000-tonne capacity facility spans 50 acres and is part of the UP Defence Industrial Corridor. It uses advanced remelting technologies like VAR, EB, PAM, and VIM. Alongside, seven other aerospace manufacturing units were launched, including plants for precision castings, billet-forging, and CNC machining, boosting India’s self-reliance in strategic materials and defence manufacturing.
