SGLTL Partners with AGI Group for India’s First Glass-Lined Heat Exchangers

Standard Glass Lining Technology (SGLTL) has partnered with Japan’s AGI Group to introduce the world’s first glass-lined shell and tube heat exchangers in India. This collaboration marks a shift from graphite to corrosion-resistant, durable glass alternatives for pharmaceutical and chemical industries. SGLTL, with a 20-year license, will assemble and market these heat exchangers domestically, expected to have a Rs. 2,000 crore market. Production will begin in Q4/FY26, with an initial capacity of 200 units/month, boosting India’s self-reliance in advanced equipment.
