ONGC Discovers ‘Suryamani’ and ‘Vajramani’ Fields in Mumbai Offshore

ONGC has announced two significant oil and gas discoveries—‘Suryamani’ in OALP-6 block MB-OSHP-2020/2 and ‘Vajramani’ in OALP-3 block MB-OSHP-2018/1—within the Mumbai Offshore basin. The finds, disclosed alongside the Q4 financial results, are part of ONGC’s strategy to boost domestic production under India’s Open Acreage Licensing Policy. These discoveries are expected to enhance upstream output and support national energy security by reducing import dependence. ONGC plans to fast-track appraisal and development to bring the reserves into early production.
