Chennai to Upgrade 346 Roads Under ?92.74 Crore Plan

Greater Chennai Corporation plans to upgrade 346 roads across 14 zones at an estimated cost of ?92.74 crore under the Special Fund for 202526. The project covers interior and bus route roads using cement concrete, bituminous tar, and interlocking pavers. Divided into 21 packages, tenders are already floated, with work orders expected by May-end. Packages include roads in Tiruvottiyur, Manali, Anna Nagar, and others, aimed at improving overall urban infrastructure and commuter convenience citywide.
