Ecotourism Project Planned at Kakkadampoyil in Kozhikode, Kerala

Kakkadampoyil in Kozhikode, Kerala, will be developed into an ecotourism hub over 19 hectares through a Forest Department and Koodaranhi Grama Panchayat initiative. Phase one includes basic infrastructure like cafeterias, drinking water points, comfort stations, and ticket counters. A green protocol and waste management system will be introduced. Trekking trails will be guided and supported by awareness programs. Plans also include a forest product marketing facility and a flower valley, aimed at boosting sustainable tourism and local livelihoods.
