The 5.2-km Dehradun-Mussoorie ropeway, South Asias longest mono-cable detachable gondola, is slated for completion by September 2026. The project, led by Mussoorie Sky Car consortium, will reduce travel time to 20 minutes, ascending 1,000 meters. It promotes sustainable tourism by easing vehicular traffic. Featuring European-standard technology by POMA SAS and significant local manufacturing, the ropeway aligns with Make in India goals. Development is supported by FIL Industries and SRM Engineering, combining global expertise in ropeway infrastructure.
