Marriott invests ?120 crore in Concept Hospitality for budget brand

Marriott International acquired a minority stake worth approximately ?120 crore (USD 15 million) in Concept Hospitality, operator of The Fern Hotels and Resorts, to launch a budget-friendly hotel brand in India. The Fern brand will initially be integrated into Marriotts new offering, while Concept will continue managing its properties independently. Marriott, with 158 hotels and nearly 30,000 rooms in India, aims to expand into secondary and tertiary markets, leveraging its Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program. Concept operates 84 hotels with 31 under development.
