The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project has completed a key 80-metre bridge over the Vishwamitri River in Vadodara district, Gujarat. This is the 17th of 21 planned river bridges in the state. Built using the span-by-span method, the structure features three circular piers and two 40-metre spans, supported by deep foundation piles. The alignment intersects the Vishwamitri River nine times, with four crossings completed so far. In total, 25 river bridges are planned along the corridor, including four in Maharashtra.
