GE Power India Secures Major Orders in India’s Power Sector, Enhancing Equipment and Services

GE Power India, a prominent subsidiary of GE Vernova (formerly GE Power), continues to play a significant role in India’s power sector. Recent developments highlight GE Power India’s prowess in securing substantial orders from key players in the industry. On April 1, 2024, GE Power India Limited announced receiving purchase orders from NTPC Limited and Hindustan Zinc Limited. The order from NTPC encompasses the supply of Generator Spares at NTPC Tanda and Turbine Blades for NTPC Nabinagar, with a total contract value of INR 24 crores plus GST. Concurrently, the order from Hindustan Zinc pertains to the Design & Engineering, Supply, and Erection & Commissioning of the Boiler Firing system at M/s Hindustan Zinc, Chanderiya, Rajasthan, with a completion period of 12 months and a base value of INR 8.75 Crores plus GST.

Subsequently, on April 3, 2024, GE Power India secured two significant orders amounting to Rs 774.9 crore from Jaiprakash Power Ventures. These orders entail Design & Engineering and supply of wet limestone-based FGDs for the Nigrie Super Thermal Power Plant at Nigrie and Bina Thermal Power Plant at Bina, with execution periods of 33 months and 30 months respectively. The contracts are valued at Rs 490.5 crore plus GST for the Nigrie plant and Rs 284.4 crore for the Bina plant.

In yet another testament to its industry leadership, GE Power India Limited received a purchase order from Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited on April 5, 2024. This order involves the Supply of Spares for STG at Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited, with an execution period of 16 months.
