The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is embarking on a significant initiative to revamp the 10-kilometer stretch from Iffco Chowk to the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) with the goal of completing it within the next year. The project, aimed at improving traffic flow, entails the elimination of traffic signals and the introduction of elevated structures along the route. To initiate this ambitious project, GMDA has engaged a renowned consultant firm to prepare a detailed project report. Inspired by the success of the Golf Course Road, known as the city’s only signal-free corridor, the upgraded road seeks to replicate its efficiency in ensuring seamless vehicle movement, particularly from Cyber Hub to Sector 56.
