Power Grid Acquires Rs. 3,375-Crore Transmission Projects

Power Grid Corporation of India has acquired two major transmission projects worth Rs. 3,375 crore—Vindhyachal Varanasi Transmission and SR WR Power Transmission. These projects involve setting up 765 kV substations and lines across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra to strengthen inter-regional connectivity. The new infrastructure will improve renewable energy integration and grid reliability. Power Grid continues to expand capacity, operating over 1,80,000 circuit km of transmission lines.
