Reliance Chemicals plans major EDC and chlor-alkali project at Dahej

Reliance Chemicals And Materials Limited

Reliance Chemicals and Materials Ltd (RCML), a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd, plans to establish large-scale manufacturing facilities at the existing RIL DMD complex in Dahej, Gujarat. The proposed project includes plants for Ethylene Di Chloride (EDC) with a capacity of 16,00,000 TPA and a Chlor-Alkali unit producing 12,50,000 TPA of chlorine and 14,50,000 TPA of caustic. Additional production will include 2,500 TPA of heavy ends and 84,000 TPA of HCl. The environmental clearance is still pending in this regard.
