MCD to Build Fifth C&D Waste Plant at Tehkhand
Municipal Corporation of Delhi
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will establish a 1,000 TPD construction and demolition waste plant at Tehkhand to strengthen waste management and curb dust pollution. This project will increase Delhi’s total processing capacity to 6,000 TPD, with scope for expansion. Letters of intent have also been issued for 14 new material recovery facilities. Expected to complete in a year, the Tehkhand plant will fill the city’s current waste processing gap effectively.
