AAI Seeks Environmental Nod for Bagdogra Airport Expansion

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is pursuing environmental clearance for expanding the New Civic Enclave at Bagdogra International Airport, West Bengal, aiming to boost passenger capacity to 10 MPPA (Million Passengers Per Annum). The proposed project unfolds in two phases. Phase-1 includes a terminal building covering 70,390 sqm (including a 18050 Sqm Basement), 6 aerobridges, and 10 Code C apron bays with 2 Link Taxiways. Phase-1 construction targets completion by March 2036. Phase-2 envisions a terminal building spanning 52000 Sqm, 4 aerobridges, and 6 Code C apron bays in the future.
