Agrawal Structure Mills has sought environmental clearance for a brownfield project at Thakurtola village, Rajnandgaon district, Chhattisgarh. The proposal includes installation of two SAF units of 3.5 MVA each to produce Ferro Alloys: SiMn 11,000 TPA and/or FeMn 17,000 TPA and/or FeSi 7,000 TPA and/or Pig Iron 27,000 TPA, replacing the existing 29,700 TPA cast-iron capacity. The project also proposes changing the fuel for the 7.5 MW captive power plant from biomass to coal and dolochar.
