Centre approves Rs. 750 crore Yoga and Naturopathy research institute

The Central government has cleared a Rs. 750 crore plan to establish Indias first Apex Research Institute for Yoga and Naturopathy in Andhra Pradesh. Spread across 40 acres, the campus will include a 450-bed naturopathy hospital, academic blocks, and a national research and training centre under the Ministry of AYUSH. Additionally, a Rs. 100 crore Central Research Institute will be set up in Guntur, alongside a Naturopathy Medical College in Visakhapatnam. These projects expand AYUSH-related health-infrastructure capacity.
