PMRDA Prepares Rs 826.62 Crore River Rejuvenation Plan

Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority has prepared an integrated river rejuvenation plan worth Rs 826.62 crore for the Indrayani and Pavana rivers. The plan allocates Rs 674.13 crore for the Indrayani river and Rs 152.49 crore for the Pavana river. The scope includes construction and upgradation of sewage treatment plants, underground sewer networks, solid waste management systems, biogas plants, waste interception measures and crematoria upgrades. The detailed project report has received technical approval from IIT Roorkee and has been submitted to the National River Conservation Directorate.
