Expansion of Steel Melting and Rolling Mill Capacity

Sree Jayamurugan Alloys has proposed expansion of its Steel Melting Shop and Steel Rolling Mill at Vellalagundam village, Salem District, Tamil Nadum by replacing an existing 8-ton induction furnace with a 12-ton furnace with two crucibles and adding a standby reheating furnace of 15 TPH. The expansion will increase MS Billets production from 60,000 TPA to 1,18,800 TPA and Steel Rods and Structural Products including Sections, Squares, Angles, Rounds and Strip Coil from 57,500 TPA to 1,15,000 TPA. The proposal is under environmental clearance appraisal.
