Expansion of Steel Melting and Rolling Mill

The project proponent has proposed expansion of an existing steel melting plant and rolling mill by replacing two induction furnaces of 6-ton capacity with 12-ton capacity units. The expansion will increase MS billets production capacity from 54,600 TPA to 1,18,800 TPA, while the rolling mill capacity will increase from 51,870 TPA to 1,15,000 TPA for manufacturing MS products including sections, squares, angles, rounds and TMT rods.
