Integrated Iron and Steel Plant Expansion at Mungeli

Basudev Trade Link has proposed a major expansion of its existing integrated iron and steel plant. The project involves increasing sponge iron capacity from 58,500 TPA to 1,74,000 TPA, expanding induction furnace with CCM capacity from 60,000 TPA to 1,05,000 TPA, setting up a rolling mill with capacity of 1,02,000 TPA, installing a 9 MVA submerged arc furnace, commissioning a coal gasifier of 6,000 Nm³/hr, and establishing a briquetting plant of 200 kg/hr. The expansion is subject to receipt of environmental clearance.
