Toyota Kirloskar Motor to Build 1 Lakh Unit Vehicle Plant in Maharashtra

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited announced plans to build a new greenfield vehicle manufacturing plant in the Bidkin Industrial Area, Maharashtra. Scheduled to commence production in the first half of 2029, the facility will have an initial annual capacity of up to 1,000,000 vehicles and will manufacture a new sport utility vehicle. The operation will employ approximately 2,800 people and encompass core production processes including stamping, welding, painting, and assembly to secure global manufacturing resilience.
