HP Releases Funds for Kangra Airport Expansion

The Himachal Pradesh government has disbursed ?936 crore towards expansion of Kangra Airport and plans to release an additional ?800 crore. The project involves acquisition of around 150 hectares of land at an estimated cost of ?3,500 crore. The expansion includes extending the runway from 1,376 metres to 3,010 metres to support larger aircraft operations.
