SAIL begins brownfield expansion of Bokaro steel plant

Steel Authority of India Limited has initiated a brownfield expansion of the Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand. The project aims to increase crude steel capacity from 5.25 MTPA to 7.55 MTPA through modernization and addition of advanced production technologies. The expansion will strengthen domestic steel production capacity for infrastructure and industrial demand.
