Coal India to develop 20 MW floating solar project in Gorakhpur

Coal India Limited

Coal India Limited has been designated to develop a 20 MW floating solar power plant at Chilua Tal in Gorakhpur. The project will utilise approximately 80–150 acres of water surface, including 28.20 acres provided by the state tourism department. The facility is expected to generate 33.29 million units of electricity annually and forms part of the Gorakhpur solar city initiative.
