J&K approves Rs. 1162.40 crore integrated waste management projects

Jammu & Kashmir Urban Development Department

Government of Jammu & Kashmir has approved development of Integrated Solid Waste Management facilities with an outlay of Rs. 1162.40 crore. The projects will establish centralized waste processing clusters at Anantnag–Mattan–Bijbehara, Kathua–Hiranagar–Parole–Lakhanpur, and Jammu Zone-3. The facilities will include infrastructure for collection, segregation, processing, and disposal of municipal waste through scientifically managed systems to modernize urban waste handling infrastructure.
