ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India proposes brownfield expansion of its existing integrated steel plant at Hazira, District Surat, Gujarat. The liquid steel production capacity is proposed to be increased from 15.6 MTPA to 28.4 MTPA, utilising existing plant infrastructure, utilities, and support facilities. The proposal is submitted for environmental clearance.
