The Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to enhance its solid waste management infrastructure by procuring advanced equipment. Among the planned acquisitions are 2,000-litre capacity suction-cum-jetting machines, 2,000-litre water sprinkler machines, hydraulic trucks and excavators, hook loaders, cesspool emptiers, and various other apparatus for the efficient cleaning and disposal of daily generated waste in Salt Lake and Rajarhat-Gopalpur areas. This initiative reflects BMC’s commitment to modernizing waste management practices and ensuring cleaner, healthier communities.
