AIIB to Invest ?7.3 Billion in Gujarat Solar Project

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will invest ?7.3 billion to support India’s renewable energy goals through the ENGIE Solar Power Project. Co-financed with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the initiative will develop, build, and operate a 400 MW solar photovoltaic plant in Gujarat. AIIB and ADB will provide up to ?14.6 billion in project finance senior debt, in local currency.
