East Coast Railway Completes 9.1 km of Tunnels on Khurda Road-Balangir Line

East Coast Railway (ECoR)

East Coast Railway (ECoR) has finished constructing 9.1 km of tunnels out of the total 12.7 km planned for the Khurda Road-Balangir new line. The project, which includes the state’s longest tunnel at 4.2 km, is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The tunnels, located between Dasapalla station in Nayagarh district and Purunakatak station in Boudh district, include a 700-meter escape tunnel for safety.
