Acer Opens Puducherry Laptop Manufacturing Facility with Plumage

Acer India, in partnership with Plumage Solutions, has launched a laptop manufacturing facility at Kurumbapet, Puducherry, under the Government of India’s Production Linked Incentive Scheme for IT Hardware. The plant, owned by Plumage Solutions, has an annual capacity of 300,000 laptops and aims to strengthen domestic electronics production while reducing import dependence. Designed to improve supply chain efficiency and delivery timelines, the facility is backed by a Rs.50 crore investment planned by Plumage Group over the next four years.
