Adani Group to Invest $3 Billion in Pumped-Storage Hydropower Expansion

The Adani Group has announced plans to invest ?25,000-27,500 crore (approximately $3 billion) to establish its inaugural pumped-storage hydropower (PSH) facility. Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) aims to develop 5 GW of PSH capacity over the next five years, with ambitions to scale up to 25 GW. This initiative will augment the group’s total green energy capacity to 70 GW and involve setting up PSH generation facilities across Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana.
