AirTrunk plans major India data-centre investment to support AI growth

AirTrunk, an Asia-Pacific data-centre operator, plans to build a hyperscale facility in India to meet rising AI-driven digital infrastructure demand. Backed by Blackstone, the company recently secured A$16 billion in refinancing for expansion across the region. AirTrunk aims to leverage India’s fast-growing digital economy by adding large-scale data-centre capacity capable of supporting AI workloads. The company acknowledges energy-availability challenges but views India as a core market for next-generation data-centre development.
