AM Green, Mitsui Explore Green Aluminium JV

AM Green and Mitsui have signed an MoU to explore collaboration in the low-carbon aluminium sector. The partnership will assess investments across AM Green’s metal value chain, including development of a one MTPA green aluminium complex in Andhra Pradesh comprising an aluminium smelter, alumina refinery, and mining operations powered by renewable energy and pumped hydro storage. Coal India will supply 4.5 GW of renewable power to AM Green from May 2025 to support its operations.
