Andhra Pradesh accelerates Ramayapatnam greenfield port connectivity works

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned the accelerated development of the Ramayapatnam Greenfield Port, a strategic maritime project aimed at transforming the states industrial landscape. A primary focus of the approved works involves the rapid construction of a northern road corridor and a parallel double railway line, infrastructure essential for ensuring high-capacity, multi-modal connectivity between the port and its hinterland. Executed by Navayuga Engineering Company Limited, this project is a linchpin in a larger maritime master plan that includes the simultaneous development of Mulapeta Port and the modernization of the Kakinada Anchorage Port. By integrating advanced logistical links with deep-water port capabilities, the state aims to create a robust industrial ecosystem that can support bulk cargo handling and global trade, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a dominant maritime gateway on India’s eastern seaboard.
